On Saturday 27th August it was Birnam Highland Games and if you were not present and only viewed the photos, you would be forgiven for thinking that Lee Goodfellow came back with a knighthood! A trip up North to Perth was worth the journey for two of our senior athletes this weekend. Both Lee Goodfellow and Greg Turnbull came back winners from Perth Highland Games on Sunday. Two of our U17 athletes were competing at Grangemouth today in one of the major events in the Scottish Athletics track calendar. On Saturday 6th August four of our TLJT athletes were selected to run for Team Borders at the Forth Valley League President’s Select Match. Earlier in the season Team Borders retained their Division 1 title. Saturday’s Match was a selection of athletes from all three Divisions and a President’s Select Team. Fresh from his win at ‘the Muckle Toon’ (Langholm) Cameron Tindle traveled to County Kildare in Ireland to take part in an international event, Le Cheile International on Saturday 30th July. Cameron was 3rd in the 100m in a time of 10.83 seconds and 2nd in the 200 m in 21.80 seconds. Congratulations to Cameron.

Cameron Tindle has been in Poland this week representing Great Britain at the IAAF World Junior (U20) Championships. On Thursday he ran a blistering 200m to come second in his heat and qualify for the semi-final. He ran a personal best of 20.78. The semi-final was 6 hours later.
